Dear Friends, Family and Partners,
It is Sunday morning as I am writing this letter. Harry is
preaching in Colorado this week and I am flying back to Guatemala.
As Harry says, “it was necessary to divide and conquer.” We have had
a week off of school and classes resume tomorrow. It was a
wonderful trip to the states. Danyelle graduated from Oklahoma
State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. We
were so excited to see her walk across that stage and get her
diploma! This makes her fourth graduation since 2006; high
school, Rhema Bible Training Center, Tulsa Community College and now
OSU. She is one determined young lady. We believe God
will show her the next step for her life. We also made a quick
visit to ST. Jude for Bryant’s checkup. All the reports were
great. God continues to work in his body and his life.
We are so thankful for the grace of God! Matthew just finished
his first year at ORU. He will be a junior next year and is
really enjoying school. Spencer was glad to be back in the
states for a few days and visit friends.
The ministry in Guatemala continues to prosper. Harry preached
the Sunday before we left at Rey de las naciones. It was a
great message on overcoming with the blood of Jesus and our
testimony! As one of the young men said, “Pastor Harry predica
bueno and la palabra es muy bien” (Pastor Harry preached good and
the word was very good!) One teenage boy gave his heart to the
Lord! The angels in heaven were rejoicing. Kendrik from
House of Destiny was sitting with us during praise and worship.
When it was time for communion I was trying to tell him that he
wouldn’t be able to take communion because communion wasn’t for
ninos (little children), he is 3. When the pastor talked about
the cup and the bread, Kendrik looked at me and said, “pan is for
ninos” (bread is for children). He is so smart. All the
children at House of Destiny are doing so precious. We love
being here and being in God’s will!
The Minister’s Training School is already in its second quarter.
We are so excited about our students. We have three pastors,
one pastor’s wife and several young men and women. Every week
they seem to come with a testimony of what God is doing in their
lives. Last week our interpreter shared how he hadn’t been
able to get a job because he had a fear of failure. After
listening to Harry minister on the Authority of the Believer, he
realized he didn’t have to live with the fear and could get a job.
That same week he had an interview and got a wonderful job. He
is working for a company that facilitates medical missions to
Guatemala. God is so good!
Two weeks ago I was able to go with our student/pastor’s wife to
minister in her brother’s church. He has pastored for 18 years
and this was the first time she had ever gotten to preach in his
church. It was also the first time her mother had ever heard
her preach. She ministered on taking Jesus as your healer for
your broken heart. We spent an hour praying for people with
broken hearts. It was a wonderful time of ministry.
There are many more testimonies we could share with you, but we just
wanted you to see what your partnership is accomplishing here in
Guatemala. Thank you for allowing us to be here. As
partners we receive the same heavenly reward! Partnership is
the key to doing anything. No one person can reach a nation;
it takes partners and ministries working together. We have the
best partners in the world and it is such a joy to work with you!
God has put other ministry goals on for Guatemala our heart; agree
with us for the wisdom, finances and the help to make it all happen.
The needs are great, but God is greater!
God has been so good to our family. I know he has been good to
you too. Be sure to share your testimony of God’s goodness
with someone else, it will be an encouragement to them and will help
them overcome!
We Win,
Harry, Karen, Danyelle, Matthew, Bryant and Spencer Wilson
